Grab Raises 2026 Outlook as Ride-Hailing and Delivery Demand Gains Momentum
Grab has upgraded its financial outlook for 2026 after reporting stronger-than-expected growth across its ride-hailing and delivery businesses, reflecting resilient consumer demand and the company's continued investment in technology and platform expansion.
The Singapore-based technology company said its latest quarterly performance exceeded expectations, prompting management to raise both its annual revenue and profit forecasts. The improved guidance follows solid growth in customer activity across Southeast Asia, where Grab continues to strengthen its position in transportation, food delivery, and related digital services.
According to the company, a combination of affordable service options, targeted promotions, and operational improvements has helped attract more users while encouraging higher engagement from existing customers. Grab has also continued to support drivers and delivery partners through incentive programs, helping maintain service availability despite higher operating costs in several markets.
Artificial intelligence has become an increasingly important part of Grab's strategy. The company said AI tools are improving how it matches drivers with riders, manages deliveries, and develops new products more efficiently. These technology investments have also contributed to better operating margins by reducing inefficiencies across its platform.
Grab reported quarterly revenue of nearly $1 billion, representing robust year-on-year growth, while the total value of transactions processed across its mobility and delivery services also climbed significantly. Encouraged by this momentum, the company now expects annual revenue to reach between $4.10 billion and $4.15 billion, a modest increase over its previous forecast.
In addition to improving its financial outlook, Grab announced a new $750 million share buyback program, signaling confidence in its long-term business prospects. Investors responded positively to the announcement, with the company's shares gaining in after-hours trading following the earnings release.
Despite ongoing economic uncertainty and higher fuel costs in parts of the region, Grab believes its focus on affordability, technology, and ecosystem growth will help sustain customer demand. The company continues to expand features designed to make rides and deliveries more cost-effective while improving earnings opportunities for its driver-partners.
With stronger financial guidance, continued AI investment, and shareholder-friendly measures such as the buyback program, Grab is positioning itself for another year of growth as competition in Southeast Asia's digital services market continues to intensify.
