Purple Style Labs Plans Rs 660-Crore IPO by August-End
Purple Style Labs Limited, the company behind luxury fashion platform Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, is preparing to enter India’s public markets with a proposed initial public offering (IPO) of around Rs 660 crore. The company is targeting a launch by the end of August 2026 after updating its draft offer documents with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Purple Style Labs received regulatory approval for its IPO in January this year. The latest filing indicates that the luxury fashion company is moving ahead with preparations for the public issue, positioning the offering as an important milestone in its expansion journey.
Luxury Fashion Platform Moves Towards Public Listing
Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop has developed into a multi-brand luxury fashion business with both digital and physical retail operations. The platform currently features more than 1,300 designers and offers over two lakh products to customers through its online presence and a network of 14 experience centres.
The business has increasingly focused on high-value luxury shoppers, with its recent operating figures highlighting the scale of the platform. Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop recorded gross merchandise value (GMV) of more than Rs 588 crore in FY25. Its average order value stood at Rs 56,106, while repeat customers contributed as much as 28 percent of the business, according to the information cited in the updated IPO documents.
These numbers underline the company's position in India's growing premium and luxury fashion market, where consumers are increasingly using specialised platforms to access designer collections and high-end products.
Strong Revenue Expansion
Purple Style Labs has also recorded substantial growth over the past several financial years. Its revenue increased more than elevenfold between FY20 and FY24.
The company’s revenue rose from around Rs 45 crore in FY20 to approximately Rs 508 crore in FY24. This represents an annualised growth rate of roughly 83 percent over the period, highlighting the rapid expansion of its business model.
The sharp increase reflects the company's expansion of its luxury fashion offering and the development of its omni-channel approach. By combining an online marketplace with physical experience centres, the business has sought to provide customers with multiple ways to discover and purchase designer products.
IPO Plans Take Shape
The proposed Rs 660-crore issue comes as Purple Style Labs prepares to transition from a privately held luxury fashion company into a publicly listed business. The filing of updated IPO papers marks another step in that process following SEBI's approval earlier this year.
While the company is targeting an August-end launch, the final IPO timetable and other issue-related details will depend on the regulatory and market process. Investors are likely to watch the forthcoming offer documents for further information on the proposed issue, including its structure, pricing and financial details.
The planned listing would also bring greater visibility to a company operating in India's expanding luxury and premium fashion segment. The sector has attracted growing interest as affluent consumers increasingly seek designer apparel, accessories and other premium products through specialised retail platforms.
Focus on Higher-Value Customers
The customer data disclosed alongside the IPO plans provides an indication of the company's positioning. An average order value of more than Rs 56,000 suggests that the platform is catering to a relatively premium customer base rather than competing primarily on high-volume, low-value transactions.
Repeat customers accounted for up to 28 percent of business, another indicator of customer engagement with the platform. The combination of higher order values and returning shoppers could be an important part of Purple Style Labs' strategy as it continues building its luxury fashion ecosystem.
The company's extensive designer network is another key component of its proposition. With more than 1,300 designers and over two lakh products, Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop provides customers with access to a broad selection of luxury fashion offerings.
What the IPO Means for Purple Style Labs
If launched as planned, the IPO will represent a significant transition for Purple Style Labs. The company will move from a growth-focused private enterprise into the public markets, where its performance, expansion plans and financial results will come under greater scrutiny from investors.
The proposed Rs 660-crore fundraising also comes after a period of rapid revenue growth. With Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop continuing to operate across digital and physical channels, the company is seeking to build on its established position in India's luxury fashion market.
For investors, the IPO will provide an opportunity to assess the growth prospects of an organised luxury fashion platform against its financial performance and valuation expectations. The next stage will be the release of further IPO details as Purple Style Labs progresses towards its targeted August-end launch.
